All gear included.
This fee will cover all the necessary river equipment including: a wetsuit, booties, PFD, guide stick/paddle, guide book, shuttle between put in/take out spots. A certificate will be available to those who complete the course.
To work as a guide in the state of Washington you must have a current First Aid and CPR card ( around $60-100 to get it ).
We provide our trainees with a list of places where you can get it for free.
Also, as the training takes place in the heart of Leavenworth,we understand that the accommodations are not cheap. As a special deal, we offer a FREE camp site just for our guides and their guests for Friday and Saturday nights.
A $150 rebate will be given to those who guide at least six commercial trips for us during the 2013 season, $300 rebate for those who guide twelve commercial trips.
This is also a gratuity based job, so you can make more than just a straight hourly wage ( between $20-50 per trip ).
People who complete the guide-training course are always welcome to come along on any of our trips during the season FOR FREE !!!
